The Guild of the Transfiguration

The ministry of the Guild of the Transfiguration is being renewed to better meet the needs of our parishes; this will involve the reissuing of licenses in the follows areas:

  • Eucharistic Assistant

                (administer the chalice under the Priests direction).
     
  • Lector

                (Reading the Lessons and or the Intercessions)
     
  • Eucharistic Minister

                (Home Communion).
     
  • Worship Leader

                (Lead worship services).
     
  • Catechist

                (Prepare candidates for Baptism and/or Confirmation).
     
  • Pastoral Assistant

                (Assist with Pastoral Care).
     
  • Preacher

                (Prepare and deliver sermons).

Training in the areas below will be provided in the three regions during July - September 2008.

The Traning days will be from 10am till 4pm with morning and afternoon tea provided and participants are asked to bring their own lunch.

The Eastern region training is likely to be at will be at the Diocecen centre (yet to be finalised), the Western traing will be in Horsham and the Southwest training will be in Hamilton.
